Marta (she/her/ ella)

Hi, everyone! I am and have been :) a math specialist, coach and researcher for over 30 years. I have been part of this PLN since it began in 2017. Being a part of a group of math enthusiasts who gather together to share, discuss, and energize ourselves around our math coaching practices is a highlight of my professional learning. We love collaborating with others who want to come to our PLN to bring ideas that they

are trying out. AND of course we always are thinking about engaging math tasks that

we can sink our math brains into…

come join in the joy, the growing, and the belonging.

PPolly (she/ her)

I’m Polly and have been co-facilitating the PLN since 2017.  It’s been such a great experience because of all the wonderful people I’ve met!  I’m a practicing math coach and consultant so co-hosting the PLN provides me with some of the best professional learning I could ask for.  The community of math coaches, specialists, teachers, and researchers who show up, come ready to engage deeply around any discussion that will improve the learning and teaching of mathematics for students.

Humanizing Mathematics

"This session was extremely helpful. The math, the conversation, the facilitation within the breakout groups, the connections to students, and reflection about connections to coaching touched all the needs."

PLN participant

"The past two years you have focused on equity and humanizing mathematics. These topics have been so valuable and have changed how I work with teachers and students."
